"As an adolescent I aspired to lasting fame, I craved factual certainty, and I thirsted for a meaningful vision of human life - so I became a scientist. This is like becoming an archbishop so you can meet girls."

Looks like the PicsBeautiful short hike...before hiking it, I had thought the pictures were the result of skilled photographer; the loop actually does look exactly like that. You can get great pictures just firing away on your cell phone!

Queens GardenOne day in 2005 and several times since. Usually start here and join up with the Navajo Loop. There's something about this place, Bryce Canyon, I love it here and wish I lived closer so as to drink it in much more often.

Happy New Year! After a day of skiing at Brian Head, I thought I might be able to ski the rim at Bryce....nope, changed over into boots and hiked a loop. Absolutely gorgeous with a layer of fresh snow on the red sand stone!

Chilly StartWe left Zion very early in the morning to hike this trail at Bryce. It was probably about 40 degrees F in Zion. We did not then realize how high in altitude Bryce was - say hello to 8 degrees F. We stayed in the parking lot until the sun rose and the temperature climbed to 32 dgrees F.
