Highway A trailhead
About ninety five minutes to the summit. A very pleasant upland forest hike in the Ozarks. Almost had a life altering/ending collision with a distracted motorist on Highway A on the way there though. My car was more off the road than on, and it was still extremely close.

Bell Wrung...
...the last dregs of energy from Dennis Goldsmith and I in the 96 degree high humidity day. We made the summit but ended up avoiding the loop due to water concerns. Enjoyed the rock platform north of the disappointing wooded summit (where the four foundation blocks stand).

Bell Mountain Loop
It seems to be lightly used, but I think this loop is a nice hike. The granite is beautiful all over the mountain, and the views from the ridge over Shut-In Creek are sweet.

Bell Mountain, Summer 2005Nice little get-a-way for the weekend; would not recommend during the summer because of massive tick issues.
