Hiked up old Dirty Harry's Balcony Trail - Closed for good reason!
Hiked Dirty Harry's Peak up the old logging road (DO NOT DO THIS! - it's completely covered in downed trees, logs, rocks, boulders, berms and difficult and time-consuming to traverse) - take the Bird House Trail - immediate right after the bridge over the river. It's a good trail, unlike the old logging road.
Wanted to go somewhere else but a rock slide blocked the road so we ended up here instead. It rained on us at the summit. My first hike with Andy Boos and John Plimpton.

Cloudy and Dirty
It was an uncharacteristic cold summer day in the Seattle area. Climbed this slightly obscure, little mountain with Maddie. The Ghost of Dirty Harry told me to, "Get off his lawn!"

Do you feel lucky?....
The "balcony" on the way up has a better Panoramic view, but good views of Rainier on top. Not a great, pretty hike up, but still worth doing. Far west part of the summit has a somewhat dubious perch for hanging out if one is so inclined.

Dirty Harry's Peak
I could hear the water draining out of lower Granite lake.
Not impressed with the views on this one. This will be a "one'n'dun".

Good memories
No. 004, personal climber's log.
Went with Druksel Dorji and Elly whom I used to work with, then later with my sister and step-grndfather. Good consistent gradient which steepens about 1/2 mile short of the top to let you know you are nearing the upper reaches, and in my experience there is usually snow on the upper portion until June at least.
Ok but only partial views on top. Better summits in the I-90 area.

Awesome Hike
I am shocked this hike is not more well-known. It is quite enjoyable, with a lot of scenery and history to be found along the way!!! Highly recommended!!!
