Red Spruce Knob Trail
While the summit is a bit unremarkable (a few scattered remnants of the lookout tower surrounded by trees) the Red Spruce Knob trail is beautiful. We enjoyed the ferns, the moss, the moisture. (We live in a semi-arid environment.) The Highland Scenic Highway is just lovely. We enjoyed lunch at that place on the river where diners can feed the ducks. All in a all, a very nice day with autumn color all around. Climbing partners: Husband Tom and my sister's dog Tigger.

Red Spruce Knob Summit
Nice, easy hike. Still good bit of snow in places. Highland Scenic Highway was open from 219 to 55.
