A great way to pass a day. Not as popular as the nearby Beam Rocks, but still a very nice getaway.

Cold, Wind and Solitude
Beautiful crisp fall day. Solo hike out the loop trail and back the Rector-Edie Road. Highly recommend this relaxing 4.5 mile getaway.
The trace of snow up on the summit made it even more enjoyable. Wear boots and expect the first half mile to be very wet.

Snowy SolitudeAbout 4-8 inches of snow from superstorm Sandy, but it looks like a number of people broke the trail since then, making it easy for me to follow.
