DeLong Mtns

[ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
 DeLong Mtns
Peaks of the DeLong Mountains of the Western Brooks Range, West of Kelly River.

The upper and middle Noatak River, near here where these peaks form the spine of the Brooks Range, is a United Nations Biosphere Preserve.

The Western Arctic Caribou Herd moves through this region, and often moves high into the mountains for breezes to blow away the bugs. Climbers should also be on the alert for Dall sheep, wolves, and grizzly bears.
