Lit'l Sundial, SE Face

Wish I had more beta - no luck. As far as I know, it hasn't been climbed or even named. That's the Fox Farm Ranch (near Stewart Creek) down below, with the Mogollon Rim on the distant horizon. This is looking in the direction of the community of Star Valley, Arizona. Payson is off to the northwest. It's part of a granite ridge that is decomposing over time. To the left of 'Lit'l Sundial,' you can see a large crack in the rock. I took the photo from the top of a neighboring boulder to the south. There are no established trails; you have to bush-whack through manzanita and oak. Wish I had more beta; will have to explore the area further. No snakes seen on this trip. June 5, 2008
