10 a.m. on June 30. Two guided climbing

teams passed our 9,600-foot camp, ignored

the ramp down to the Tahoma Glacier and

headed up to a route over St. Andrews Rock.

Many climbing teams opt to go up and over St.

Andrews and descend to the Tahoma Glacier

higher up. This alternative is especially wise

late in the season.
