I have never known a person who went into the mountains only to hike or climb. People go to look at flowers, trees, bushes, rocks, and may be from time to time snow covered peaks.
This photo is 100% on topic. Thank you for posting it, Jacek.
cheers,
Marc

And if the crags are by the sea, people look for dolphins and seals also. Thanks very much for your comment, Marc.

lcarreauHow do you capture the "greens"

lcarreau

so beautifully ???

I got the "reds" figured out here in Arizona,
but the greens seem to be completely elusive
and out of my grasp.

If you had captured a butterfly pollinating
these flowers, THEN it would be off-topic!

: ))

By taking an anti-red stand. :) Butterfly allowance included. :)))

Opinions are like butterflies!

Everybody has one, but sometimes they're hard
to catch, and even HARDER to take !!! : ))

One time a little pixie (or fairy) told me
that the only thing "valuable" was life itself.

I guess a vulture needs to be taught that. LOL

The only thing valuable to a vulture is death
itself, since it feeds off of "road pizza."

It's hard to be a vegetarian if you're a
vulture!

Geez, you should wear a tracking collar - I guess there are fewer vegetarians in your family than condors in CA.

"There are currently over 70 condors flying free in northern Arizona and southern Utah, including several that were raised in wild nest caves within or near to the Grand Canyon."

Is the AZ condor the same species as that famous one of CA?

Short answer - YES.

Here's the "recent numbers" from NPS files:

Total Population: 347

Captive: 163

Wild: 184

In California: 94

In Baja: 17

In AZ/UT: 73 (now 72 counting all the above adjustments) ...

Well, southern England is great for work, snowdrops and the airports around London from where you can get into the heart of the Pyrenees/Carpathians in a couple of hours. Where I live, there's only snowdrops but they do cheer me up when spring comes. :)
