1960-61 Silver hut ski team

The Griffith Pugh Silver hut expedition team (Griffith was an ex member of the British Olympic skiing team). He is seen there with Michael Ward, Barry Bishop, Mike Gill and wally Romanes. Those four companions of griffith Pugh will form the two rope parties who will do a few weeks after the first ascent of Ama Dablam in full winter and alpine-style, a feat which awaited 19 years for a second ascent (1979 Martin Boysen and a team of Americans of whom Jeff and George Lowe, Tom Frost).
