Voted 10/10 | ...I read a book by the Swiss mountain photographer Herbert Maeder "Gipfel und Grate" ("Summits and Ridges"), which was published in 1980, and in which he mentions a summit register on one of the lesser known and at the same time difficult swiss peaks that was issued in 1899 and carries entries dating as far back as 1901!! I have no idea if that register is still up there, but apparently it still was in the late seventies...imagine nowadays finding an entry from the 1930s... | | Posted Aug 7, 2010 3:56 pm |
