Re: wow...That is what bites sometimes. How'd I get so old so fast. Dang. When I see a USGS benchmark on a peak that says 1940 on it, I feel a strange kinship. Note the wooden iceaxe and the homemade harness. We'd make diaper slings and use them for our harnesses. Yeah, the good old days.

Re: wow...I won't complain. Its funny that time hasn't slowed me down like most the guys I know at my same age. So far I don't take any med's of any kind, something I am very thankful for and attribute to my outdoor hiking/climbing efforts. Stay active, that is the key.

Re: Stud!I was serving in the U.S. Army as a captain in the dental corp when this pic was taken. I had a week of vacation and used it for my climb of Mt. Rainier. Definitely a poser shot however, but studly, I don't know. Thanks though. : )
