2,000' of wall!

[ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
2,000\' of wall!
From Mount Wilbur's north flank, looking directly across Iceberg Basin brings you to about 2,000 feet of...wall. High point right of center is known as the B-7 Pillar; as a point of reference, Iceberg Peak is out of the frame on the left. I like the upper right corner of this image, with the protruding "fangs" of the Lithoid Cusp, then Ipasha Peak on their left, and part of the bulk of Mount Merritt running out to the right. It makes me think of a kind of idealized, rugged country that would not be out of place in Lord of the Rings.

EricChuImpressive!

Voted 10/10

2000 feet...that's more than 609 metres, 200 meters more than the famous wall of the Gran Cima di Lavaredo in the Dolomites, and yet seemlingly just as formidable, just as "direttissima"...that is quite something!
