Český štít

[ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Český štít
Český štít (2500 m) from the Chata pod Rysmi hut (2250 m). Since 1.6.2006 it is renamed to Ťažký štít, as well as Česká (Ťažká) dolina Valley, Česká (Ťažká) veža Tower, České (Ťažké) pleso Lake. Český meant Czech, and this was a bad translation of Goral´s (Highlander) word "ciężka", which means hard accessible. So, Slovenský Ústav Geodézie (Slovakian Geodetic Institut) returned peak´s name its original meaning.
