6/27/04 - From the switchbacks above one has a great view down on Mahogany Flat. This is a nice place to set up trail camp. There are several flat spaces available with shade, but it leaves a long approach to Shepherd's Pass. Continuing on for ~2 miles, one reaches Anvil Camp.
