7/24/05: Peak-to-Needle Traverse: Looking up at the steep gully you must enter to the right of the Black Gendarme. The overhanging rock that you must pull yourself up over is barely visible at the base of the Black Gendarme and to the right. A hidden knife-edge and then ledge take you up onto the wall to the right.
