Hasn't voted | Really a pleasure to be at my computer in Florida daydreaming about all the beautiful places in Colorado. This website is a wonderful escape and I, in turn, thank you. | | Posted Oct 21, 2004 8:33 pm |

Hasn't voted | This photo was posted in the Sangre Overview section which made reference to the red color of the Sangre de Christo Mountains in the proper lighting conditions, hence their names. I felt that this lucky shot at dawn illustrated that point.. It was taken from the Wet Mountains about 10 miles south of Westcliffe, at an oblique angle that is different from what we normally see. I believe that Horn Peak is the small tip of the mountain that is visible at the right edge of the picture. I will send you picture of the entire range taken from this same location and you can compare it to the Sangre Panorama at http://www.sangrespanorama.com/ | | Posted Oct 24, 2004 9:14 pm |

Hasn't voted | I am actually flying out tomorrow. Bad timing with weather being the issue. Thanks for the invitation. | | Posted Oct 26, 2004 10:33 pm |
| Kane | That ain't Horn on the far right... | |
Voted 10/10 | its Little Horn Peak and Horn Peak is not in this photo. Horn is just out of the picture to the right of Little Horn Peak.
I would recommend posting this photo undder the Humbolt Peak page because the big beautiful mountain left of center is Humbolt. Your looking at its east ridge.
To the right of Humbolt is Colony Baldy. To clear things up I copy and saved and labeled the photo to clear any confusion up.
Little Horn Peak from the southeast is very distinct.

Hasn't voted | I think Mt. Adams is the one labeled as Little Horn. Denver Bears will win the World Series! | | Posted Oct 26, 2004 2:24 am |
