A Ben Nevis belay.

[ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
A Ben Nevis belay.
The image was taken on Observatory Buttress in Jan 07, at the top of the 1st pitch. The pitch of 55m had only been protected by 1 wire, a hook and a piton. The belay is a half cammed and fully hammered hex, a tied off angle and knife blade, all equalised.

I've certainly belayed from worse! It took ages to find anything and the final result was better than expected. Which certainly made me feel a happier man!
