A Black-throated Blue Warbler
This little cutie was way off course in Fields. The Black-throated Blue Warbler belongs in the eastern US, not in the west. But s/he created quite a stir among birders out for their annual trek to the Malheur National Wildlife Area and surrounding spots. Even Dean showed a little interest, but he was mostly interested in the bigger birds perched not far away -- the Great Horned Owls. May 27, 2006.
