A climber is making his way...
A climber is making his way through the sometimes complicated icefall, which lays in between BC and C1.

Far away in the left hand corner of the photo, Baltoro Kangri (7800m) is visible and the huge wall behind the climber is Gasherbrum VI, the only unclimbed peak in the group.

No it's not foot steps.

It's probably a crack in the snow. I guess this formation will fall off shortly.

In general, the icefall leading up to the Gasherbrum group is quite stable.
