A Crevasse

looks so different from most crevasses; like a frontloader or some such heavy equipment just dug into the mountain.

We encountered some strange ones on this glacier. On most glaciers I have crossed the crevasses run horizontal with the slope but in some places on Sloan they were crisscrossing all over the place in perpendicular patterns. We had to double back several times to find another way.
