A distant view of Vesper Peak (at far right) showing why it is one of the more prominent peaks in the region. All these peaks should ordinarily have more snow on them. Drought conditions. Already 10+ inches of rainfall behind for the year. Photo taken from Nine Lives Peak on March 6, 2005.
