Voted 10/10 | Thanks for telling me - this is really gorgeous! What a color this Indian Paintbrush has!
Cheers and thanks a lot for what you told me in your last message,

Hasn't voted | Your welcome and keep the great pictures comming Eric. Weird how in the comming years there will be a tram to the top of the East Twin. The plan has already been accepted by the Forest Service. Glad I could capture its beauty before the peak receives its "modern makeover". Happy Trails out there. | | Posted Aug 10, 2010 12:56 pm |

Voted 10/10 | You mean, the FS has agreed to build a tram
up to the E. Twin ???
You're probably too young to remember, but
there used to be a tram leading up to the
high crag above Bridal Veil Falls.
I think an avalanche wiped it out.
I wonder how long the one on E. Twin will last ???
That's freakin' terrible!

Hasn't voted | I wish I was kidding with you. Another expansion = another section of the Wasatch getting its modern makeover. Snowbird really had no trouble getting the proposal approved because they already own the land.....including Marry Ellen Gulch.
Luckly for us Backcountry Skiers the FS said no to Solitude expanding into Silver Fork.
What really scares me (and I bet I am not alone on this one) is Alta expanding to the Emma Ridgeline (Mount Flagstaff). Their "No Uphill" policy will ruin perhaps the best and most heavily used up track in the Wasatch. On a saturday we counted 26 people skinning up there with us. Even worse Alta usually has an open backcountry gate policy that will basically ruin not just a good hiking route.....but the heart of the Wasatch Backcountry skiing finally and for good. | | Posted Aug 11, 2010 9:55 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Geez, you might end up "relocating" to northern
New Mexico or Colorado?
Utah still has the "Greatest Snow On Earth!" | | Posted Aug 11, 2010 10:36 pm |

Hasn't voted | Yes developers will never be happy until the Wasatch Range is just one massive ski resort complete with condos and hotels. When it stops snowing here in Utah I will have to move to Alaska....but Utah will always have the greatest snow on earth. | | Posted Aug 12, 2010 11:11 am |

Hasn't voted | That flower patch up on Sugarloaf Peak is bigger than I could fit in 1 frame. The wildflowers are in full bloom up there right now. Happy Trails | | Posted Aug 10, 2010 12:59 pm |

Hasn't voted | Thanks RDMC....this one was just 1 vote away from Pic of the Day. The usual round of people have taken over the POTD for good I think. Many Thanks for checking this one out and Happy Trails out there | | Posted Aug 12, 2010 11:08 am |
| Dean | Superb pic | |
Voted 10/10 | I was up there yesterday and none of my flower photos even come close to this one. Lots of Lupine and yellow flowers as well. Were you up there yesterday and I missed meeting you?
I also went over to Baldy and it was a beautiful day. | | Posted Aug 11, 2010 10:09 pm |

Hasn't voted | I took this one Sunday after climbing Sugarloaf Peak from Alta. All the wildflowers that day were in full bloom. Went to Mt Baldy with my mother for her Birthday on Monday. Yesterday (Wensday) I was on Superior and Monte Cristo. From Monte Cristo we could make out some climbers on the SLC Twins....wasnt you by any chance? You almost caught me in my natural enviroment Dean. I have heard from others on SP that you are fun guy to climb with. Who knows, we will have to go climbing together one of these days. Happy Trails Dean and I am glad you like the picture. Many thanks | | Posted Aug 12, 2010 11:06 am |

Voted 10/10 | Yeah, heard that Dean almost "bought the farm"
on the Twins!
He's like a wrist-watch. He takes a licking,
BUT he keeps on ticking !!!
