A freak snow storm on Orizaba...
A freak snow storm on Orizaba at the end of Jan. '04 dumped 2 feet of snow in places that don't usually get any snow at all.

I don't know if its just me, but this storm has yielded some of the coolest pictures of Orizaba that I have seen. Congrats!

Yes, i hope to see more of these "freak storms" in the future. It used to snow more than it has been the last several years. This has just been the heaviest of several snowstorms on the mountain this winter. Perhaps it is getting back to normal. It has snowed in Tlachichuca and even Puebla and Mexico City, long ago.

I agree that these have been the best pictures of Pico. The nature of the storms gave a superb look to the granddaddy of all mountains in Mexico.

Though higly unlikely due to global warming, I hope that this kind of storms become more frecuent in order to keep the rapidly receding mexican glaciers alive a little longer.
