A good closeup perspective of...
A good closeup perspective of the ridge and mountain. The route heads across the mountain face just above the patch of snow, and below where cliffs would make the climbing technical. Photo by Vernon, July 24, 2005.

The route up Tinkham involves an elevation loss (slightly more than 500') between Cut Bank Pass and Tinkham proper. This photo was taken at the low point, or saddle, between Cut Bank Pass and the mountain itself.

Tinkham is a relatively unknown GNP peak, yet the climb was one of the best I've ever been on—and summit views are, to put it mildly, stunning!
