A hike along the crest of...
A hike along the crest of Sourdough leads past potential campsites like this exquisite little pocket with its view of Davis Peak. I once read an article by someone who had a fetish for counting contour lines. He said this face of Davis is the only place in Washington State with more than a vertical mile drop in less than a horizontal mile. There's one route on it, put up in 1976 by Anacortes climbers Dallas Kloke and Bryce Simon.
