A late day descent from the...
A late day descent from the head of the Sleeping Giant takes us up an interesting cleft of rock. A tree root also serves as a hand rail/hold. We descended this fun obstacle two days later while executing the route in reverse, which is the way that is described in this route.

...looking down this same obstacle yesterday on a beautiful December 60 degree day! I found it interesting the type of people scrambling up and down Sleeping Giant - not your typical mountain/hiking types - it was kind of refreshing to see people from all walks of life out there.
