Voted 10/10 | incredible poster shot. But IMHO it would be worth 6 stars if 2/3 of the sky would have been cut. So it''s only 5... | | Posted Dec 23, 2004 2:19 am |

Hasn't voted | I know what you are saying about the sky... it isn't the focus of the shot and should be reduced. That's the way I was taught to shoot also. But for some reason I like all that sky in this particular shot and think that it actually adds to the shot. I think it give a sense of the height even more by saying "there is nothing above but the vastness of the sky"... At any rate.. I agree- its somewhere between a 5 and a 6 star. | | Posted Dec 23, 2004 10:01 am |

Voted 10/10 | Agreed. A cropped picture (especially to a wide view) can be so dramatic. Awesome shot, though. 5 stars for sure. | | Posted Dec 23, 2004 4:07 pm |

Voted 8/10 | I like the shot but can't agree it is 4 stars. Too much sky. | | Posted Dec 23, 2004 6:44 pm |

Hasn't voted | I think I must agree with kilimanjaro1 on this. Yes, current photographic thought asks for a minimal amount of sky...however, climbing for some is less about going on top of the mountain and more about walking into the unending sky. This photo made me feel like I was really there, rather than so many photos that just seem like a canvas portrait of a mountain. | | Posted Dec 24, 2004 11:00 am |

Voted 10/10 | I know this view extremely well and definetly if the shot was angled another degree downward it would gain nothing. I think it would lose some of its high up alpine feel. | | Posted Dec 5, 2007 10:19 pm |
| photo61guy | Yes there's... | | Voted 9/10 | alittle too much sky in my opinion, but it still is a great shot tlogan. I am envious of your being in that situation. Thanks for posting. Joel | | Posted Dec 24, 2004 2:19 am |

| joseguzman58 | It is the sky.... | |
Voted 10/10 | the element that gives vastness to the image. Cut the sky and you have a big chunk of rock wiyh a guy on top. A beautiful picture. Ain't mountains beautiful? Four stars.
Thanks..............Jose. | | Posted Dec 27, 2004 2:11 am |
