A look at Saddleback Peak...
A look at Saddleback Peak from the Redfish Lake Creek Trail on Memorial Day Weekend, 2005. We hiked in on Friday under sunny skies. The log crossing was in great shape and the trail to Saddleback Lakes was free of snow except for the very top (~300 feet). You can see the snowfield with mixed rock that we traversed for the descent just left of center. The Goat Perch complex is just right of the Elephant's Perch. Snow was limited to high, North facing aspects.
