A pair of ptarmigan(s?) rest on a log near the trail at approximately 11,500 feet, just below Willow Lake. They blended astoundingly well with the backdrop--I had nearly kicked them before my mind was able to seperate them from the log on which they rested. September 25, 2005 |  Image Data
