A shot of K2 from the classic angle.
A very clear morning with deep blue skies. The night before a raging rainstorm blasted the area. Many times it's like that in the high Karakorams - very fast changing and unstable weather. Comments[ Post a Comment ] | | Corax | Re: oh, wow | |

Yes, it really is THE mountain. Coming around the corner on the glacier and then...K2 is right there!
It's breathtaking! | | Posted Aug 25, 2005 3:41 am |

I was lucky there. One of the few days of good weather I had during the journey. Not long after this photo was taken, bad weather rolled in at high speed. | | Posted Aug 26, 2005 4:54 am |

Hasn't voted | Thanks. It's a very nice spot. So many mountains all around you, but there's one that's so much more impressive than all the others - K2. | | Posted Nov 8, 2009 7:13 am |

Magic moments for sure. It was the first time I saw K2 from that close on the Pakistani side, so the memories from that moment are very special to me. | | Posted Feb 16, 2010 4:55 am |
