A sideways view illustrates the angle of the face
I'm just below the bergschrund of the Brunegghorn north face. A bit of the schrund is visible at the bottom right. Just outside the photo, at the top right, is the Brunegghorn NW ridge.
Up to the bergschrund, it's still possible to walk up the glacier, but from then on it gets steeper and the real climbing begins. The angle eventually reaches about 60°, right below the summit.
