Nice one. There was still a lot of snow when I did Granite Chief so these pics give it a different look.



I happened to get Carpenter Hill in early August. You mentioned that you live nearby and it looks like they might fence off the HP totally.

I'm somewhat bummed about the Carpenter Hill situation since it's a good hill climb with a good view (as far as the great central valley goes) nearby. I initially thought they had built a bike trail to the top, but now I must carry my bike around a fence and over a ditch and it may soon be totally closed off.



If you haven't done Sutter and Merced yet, let me know when you plan to come down.

Dennis P and myself will be doing both of those next year and we'd be happy to have you do them with us.

It'll be sad for future Cohp'ers to have to scale a fence to do Carpenter, that is a sad deal.
