A view of Shastina from low on the Hotlum-Bolum ridge. The lower Bolum glacier is in the middle ground and the time is late September 2001. The climber in the picture is Reid Sanders, the lead guide on our climb. He died during an attempt of the first ski descent of Mt. St Elias in Alaska about 6 months after this photo.
