A well outfitted ski...

A well outfitted ski mountaineer needs to have all his/her gear sorted for the approach and climb. I brought downhill skis, boots (in the pack), 2 axes, and trekking poles with a self-arrest grip. A Giro bicycle helmet was lightweight and practical. May 26, 2002.
