Marlon, 2nd highest structure in Canada and been there since 1922. The original mountaineers in this area were tough old bastards not to mention knew what they were doing I suppose. Most came in with the railroad and had a lot of engineering background. Most historic hut in the Canadian Rockies. Cheers.

Mark, helicopter brings stuff like that in when it hauls the shit barrels out. This hut has manned custodian quarters most of the summer. Gentleman up there when I went was 70rs+ and liked a good game of hearts which I and a few others obliged. All you need is your bag and food. Quite the historic quarters. Cheers.

""You cannot stay on the summit forever; you have to come down again. So why bother in the first place? Just this: What is above knows what is below, but what is below does not know what is above. One climbs, one sees. One descends, one sees no longer, but one has seen. There is an art of conducting oneself in the lower regions by the memory of what one saw higher up. When one can no longer see, one can at least still know.""   --Rene Daumal
