Seven of us summited Abdal Musa starting just below the Yilanli yayla (Cit Creek side). We then crossed the lake basin to the south to reach the Artabel side. The weather wasn't great. In the middle of the basin we got caught in a storm. Initially it was only raining. Then hail started. We took refuge under a rock. After 15 minutes, the hail stopped. Some of us were soaked (not prepared for bad weather.) Eventually we reached a round peak rising above "Adali Gol" (Lake with an Island), from where we dropped into the Artabel basin. We took a snack break by this beautiful lake.
On the way down we saw two bears -- it was exciting. Earlier some members of our team saw a mountain goat. Apparently wild goat sightings are very rare. Yet another animal sighting was that of an "ur keklik" (a type of grouse). We finished our adventurous trip above the village of Artabel, after 12 hours from the start. It was a wonderful experience.
"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, which is the most horrible thing in the world."
