About a mile up the trail, the top of Ruby Dome comes into view. It is in the background to the right of the sharp peak on the left. Fall colors made this a particularly enjoyable hike.

I just picked up the nat geo topos for Nevada

And the Ruby Mountains look spectacular, Ruby has moved up my list to being a must do this summer, where am I going to find the time? Did you do these as weekend trips from Tri-Cities? These Nevada Ranges are an awfully long ways off.

	Hasn't voted	Dennis and I spent the better part of a week doing Nevada county highpoints so it wasn't a weekender. That would be too far for a weekend as you have already surmised. I think I have some linked trip reports on that week that will give you a better insight for how we did those mountains.
