Voted 10/10 | Das ist ja was! I am glad that you use the word abseil instead of rappelle. I always like to try and use these German words when climbing! Looks pretty high! How many meters off the ground are you? | | Posted Dec 19, 2006 4:35 pm |

Hasn't voted | Its about 80 meters over the ground on this picture , the point we started is about 160meters.
I know the word abseiling as official translation for the german "abseilen". I hope it is right, i also know repelling, what is right, or are both right? | | Posted Dec 20, 2006 4:54 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Both terms are correct, and both are used in the English language. Most people prefer and use rappell, or just rap for short. But I have herd the occasional person say abseil, and I make an effort to use this term as well.
