After the fire... fireweed. This area was scorched along with Yellowstone NP in '97. The bright pink is fireweed, one of the first plants to grow back after a forest fire. I am posting this photo also to show the place where you turn off for the southern approach to Granite Peak. (July 1998). Hopefully this area looks a little healthier by now. |  Image Data
