Bighorn Sheep of Arizona.
I met this small herd of good-looking rams in late afternoon while descending from Arch Mountain High Point in Lake Mead Area.

Late afternoon?

My guess is ... they were getting a
drink from Lake Mead, and now they're
heading back up the mountain. This is
called, Being in the RIGHT place at
the RIGHT time! Nice rams!!!

	Hasn't voted	Thank you for the comment Larry. I'm pretty sure your guess is right. When I spotted these rams they were just little specks in distance. Whenever bighorns are around I always get this feeling that somebody is looking at me and I start looking around! I managed to get pretty close to them. If you click on the photo for the larger format, you will see how shiny their coat was. They looked very healthy. It was a great, long hike. Have a great weekend! Anya
