| Having made paraglider ascents of the Brevant and flown some way along the range in 1980's - then finally climbed the highest summit (Belvedere) 2 days ago, I think that justifies my signing the log for Phil's page. The Aiguille Rouge range seems enormously overshadowed by Mont Blanc & Co on the other side of the valley (& indeed looks tiny from MB summit!) - but up close it is spectacular and views superb. Well worth a visit when the big ones are not an option. | |
