Albright Grove
Most of the Smokies were logged into the 1920s and 1930s, so old-growth stands are uncommon. The Albright Grove, located on a loop trail off the Maddron Bald Trail, is one of those exceptions. I hope this angle conveys some of the size of these magnificent trees. Photo taken mid-November 2007.
