Larches of the worldLarches are deciduous conifers found in temperate and boreal regions of the northern hemisphere. Some 10-14 species exist (depending on the authority some may not be “true” species). These trees often turn a brilliant golden color in the fall shortly before dropping their needles for the winter, and have delighted many hikers and climbers. Many species grow under harsh conditions high in the mountains, making for great photographic opportunities. This album is meant to highlight larch throughout the world, and I know many members have great larch pictures, so please post them here.
