Introduction

Huesca, this one almost uninhabited province, has a sad "record", of possessing the major "catalogue" of uninhabited villages of Spain; strolling around for the paths of the Serrablo, Jacetania/Chazetania, Sobrarbe, Ribagorza or even in the Somontano de Barbastro/Semontano de Balbastro, you will be able to visit the corners fewer acquaintances of our geography. Those who do not appear in any tourist leaflet and that even this way enclose history and beauty.

Many of these villages were flooded by reservoir, others by projects to do reservoir, which they never bequeathed to be doing, as in case of Jánovas or simply for looking for work in the city.

Every day the persons leave these villages as consequence of these abandons, the Aragonese language (luenga aragonesa or fabla aragonesa) is disappearing, this way as culture, traditions, jobs...
