Many Polish mountaineers made the first climbing hereRudawy Janowickie are small mountains in SW Poland. In their NW part the Karpnicka Pass separates very picturesque range named Sokole Mts. (the Falcon Mts. 623 m asl) with eminent rocks used for climbing by many people. Walls on these rocks are sometimes overcrowded by young climbers. Southward from Sokole Mts. is situated another mountain which the SW walls are also suitable for climbing, Krzyzna Gora (654 m asl). Less known are many granite rocks situated in the main range of Rudawy Janowickie, e.g. at the Bolczow castle, in the Janowka Valley, Janowickie Garby, offering the IV to VI grade climbing (the UIAA scale) - see diagrams attached.
