It´s lower than it´s famous namesake ...

... but it´s an impressive mountain with a steep northface and nice ridges leading to the summit.

I climbed it together with Sebastian. The day started with clear views, but around noon the weather changed and we got wet on our way back from Cab. des Dix to my car.

If you plan on climbing MB de Cheilon, I would recommend to bring a mountainbike in order to cover the boring distance along the Lac de Dix.

Album of a less well-known (I suppose) region.

Thanks!

Thanks for your vote and comment.

Yes it´s true. The valley´s of Zinal and Val d´Herens are still remote compared to Matter- and Saas-Fee-valley. Especialy in the triangle between Grand Combin, Dent d´Herens and Bishorn it´s possible to be away from the crowds depending on the routes you choose.

When I did a multiday hike by the mountain, I learned there is a locally famous hiking route that goes around the mountain in 4-5 days. It really is a beautiful place and mountain. Congratulations on the climb!

Ja das war ne schöne Hochtour. Am Schluss, kurz vor dem Gipfel, hatte es noch so ein fieser Grataufschwung, ansonsten no problemo.
