Gems of the Gem State

If there is one natural feature besides mountains and forests that Idaho is known for it is perhaps its lakes. From Priest Lake in the North to Bear Lake in the South Idaho has some of the most beautiful lakes found anywhere. Because of the state's many mountains you will find countless alpine lakes scattered among the peaks. These lakes are some of the crowning jewels of Idaho.
If you have any pictures of any Idaho lake, big or small, please feel free to post as many as you'd like to on this page! Your contributions are appreciated!

Just a stab in the dark, but do you know who Don & Joan Keeler are... I mean, does that name ring a bell??? They're out of Stanley, Idaho. Volunteer hosts at Roosevelt, Arizona.

Anyway, very nice album you have here. Thanks for sharing it with us!!! Ths fishing must be awesome in some of these lakes!!!

No sorry I don't recognize those names. I'm from Preston which is about 3-4 hours away from the Sawtooths but I have been there quite a few times. I don't really know anyone personally in Stanley. Thanks for your nice comment though, Idaho lakes are truely spectacular and YES they often do offer great fishing!
