Brainard Lake Area

These photo's are from a recent trip/hike/climb I did near Brainard Lake which is west of Ward Colorado. It was a solo trip/day of climbing followed by a weekend of camping with family and friends.

I ascended the south-east ridge of Mt. Audubon, downclimbed the "Notch", climbed the headwall then up to the summit. I then traversed the gnarly ridge over to Paiute Peak then descended the wrong way and got into some hairy/scary scree covered sloping slabs above several cliff bands. I finally made it down and out ahead of the incoming weather and was back to my car in 4:55:18. Not too shabby! A great day in an incredible setting!
