When it starts it is narrow and small. Flowing down it is going to be larger and powerful.

The river Lys - it is a main water in the valley Gressoney in the northern Italy. Glaciers from the Monte Rosa massif in the Alps flow southward into this valley. Beautiful mountains like Castor, Lyskamm and Piramide Vincent store enormous amount of ice. On their slopes glaciers move, then break and form a plateau covered by a grey rocky material. On both sides of this plateau the moraines are created. Ice melts and there small colourful lakes appear. Lys starts from these lakes as many white water lines and develops into a really wild alpine river. It is beautiful and dangerous.
